Next Generation MCAS Resource Center

Next Generation MCAS has recently launched their resource center  to provide access to test administration, information, training, practice tests and additional resources to help educators and administrators as they prepare for the Next Generation MCAS. Applications for 2017 FOCUS Academy Courses Now Being Accepted

Applications for participation in the spring semester for ESE's Focus Academy are now being accepted. The Massachusetts FOCUS Academy (MFA) is offering ten (10) graduate level online or hybrid courses for this spring. These classes are at no cost to eligible districts. ESE requires each educator interested to provide a statement of support from their supervisor/principal declaring that the course is aligned with the educator's and school's professional development plan. This statement of support should be uploaded as part of the educator's application.

  • Assessment of Students with Disabilities who are English Language Learners
  • Assessment of Students with Disabilities who are English Language Learners II - Case Studies
  • Collaborative Co-teaching: Meeting the Needs of All Students
  • Creating and Sustaining Positive School-Wide Learning Environments
  • Differentiated Instruction
  • Partnering with Families of Middle and High School Students with Disabilities
  • Partnering with Families of Preschool and Elementary School Students with Disabilities
  • Universal Design for Learning: Addressing Learner Variability 101
  • Universal Design for Learning: Mathematics Instruction 201
  • Universal Design for Learning: Student Affect and Engagement 201
